A post from Tunu Sodhi, English Language Specialist, English Language Support for Faculty
The Faculty Conference is tomorrow! I wish I could accept praise for how this year’s event has been organized but, when I see my colleagues at the Learning and Teaching Office working diligently to make everything perfect, I know who deserves the credit.
I can’t believe what’s in store for tomorrow! Everything from the President’s speech to the concurrent sessions look fantastic. Personally, I can’t make a decision as to what I’m going to attend. I’ll probably make my decision at the last minute.
The one thing I can take credit for is my poster. My poster is about my program, the English Language Support for Faculty Program. It will detail the exciting things we have been working on from the one-on-one sessions to the group conversations to the activities on Blackboard. If you have a chance, please come by and say hello during the Poster Session and Cocktail Reception tomorrow evening. Even if you are not in need of my services, I always like talking about the interesting programs we have at the Learning and Teaching Office.
This year’s poster session is bigger than ever. It’s a testament to how dynamic Ryerson is. Along with all these wonderful posters, there’s a smokin’ jazz band to make the event festive. All in all, I hope everyone is as excited about tomorrow as I am.
